Building Our Legacy Update
August is here, and that means we are deep into the
summer, and also deep into construction. From the
outside, it is easy to see how the new buildings are taking
shape. They actually look like they belong there.
From the inside, dry walling continues, as does the
electrical work. As September approaches ceilings and air
conditioning ducts will be installed. The elevator will be put
in, although without power it will go nowhere for the time
being.
Many of you took advantage of the opportunity to view the
buildings from the inside after services last week. It is very
exciting to see the rooms taking shape, and to realize how
much more our ministries will be able to affect our
surrounding communities when we are finally able to
utilize them in the near future.
That near future seems closer every day, but because of
extra electrical work for audio visual, lighting and sound in
the new hall, and all the permits needed for completion
and operation, the opening of the buildings has been
delayed once again. It looks like mid-November now. That
is the construction business. If the delay seems
aggravating, just put yourself in Jamie's shoes!
However, despite the delays, we can all see that he end is
near (of the construction). May God continue to bless us,
and continue to give us the patience and the knowledge
that the opening will be here before we know it.
